Sananda Bungalows is located in the village of
Selat in north Bali, far away from the tourist hustle
and bustle in the south.
The bungalows are set in a beautiful tropical garden
where several Balinese bird species make their homes.
An open pavilion - ideal for yoga, tai chi, mediation
and so on - stands at our guests’ disposal, and in
our garden stands a traditional bale (smaller raised
platform) perfect for just relaxing.
Lovina beach is 5km away and offers a range of restaurants
and shops as well as beautiful stretches of beach
with grey, volcanic sand. We recommend a stroll through
the local village, where our employees have their
homes. In doing so, you will gain an insight into
the authentic, simple life of the Balinese people.
The people of the village cook over open fires, and
water for daily use still has to be drawn from a well.
Maintaining social contacts within the village and
supporting the local villagers is close to our hearts
at Sananda. If possible, we use products produced
by local farmers and the “Sananda Children” project
assists children from the local area to go to school.
Five well-lit, airy bungalows offer accommodation
for from one to three guests, or for two adults and
up to three children.
Breakfast is served on the terrace of the main house
with a view to the sea, and can be requested at any
time. We make our own bread and use fruit from our
own garden, depending on the season.
If you so desire, Balinese food - primarily vegetarian
but also with fish or to suit special diets ? can
be prepared, all with market-fresh and, where possible,
organically grown produce.
